Chef Sabine, born in Vorarlberg, passed stations in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France and Germany before she took over our hotels restaurant. Together with Branislav, who comes from Slovakia and has cooked in Germany, Italy and Tyrol, she is responsible for the physical wellbeing of our guests.
Both rely on the quality of the Seewinkel: Whether fresh fish from nearby waters, wild from the Illmitzer hunting ground or sun-ripened vegetables from the area - the kitchen team applies the ingredients for our dishes primarily from the region.
Restaurant >>Our hotel is located in the center of the National Park Neusiedlersee - Seewinkel and is considered an ideal starting point to explore its unique landscape.
Birding >>With 117 meters above sea level the market town on the western shore of Lake Neusiedl is as the lowest situated town of Austria. Illmitz is popular destination for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts.
But also friends of wine, culinary and culture enjoy excellent drops from Seewinkler wineries, regional delicacies such as Mangalitza pork or fresh fish as well as operetta festivals in Mörbisch and operas in the roman quarry St. Margarethen.
